If you're new to your group's leadership team or board, or just got roped into helping with group accounting or events, read on to find helpful resources to guide you through using BigTent to handle your new management duties.

If you're an outgoing group leader tasked with getting the new leader up to speed, use the resources listed in this article to ensure a smooth transition.

Congratulations on your new leadership role! We hope to help make it as easy as possible for you to do your management tasks (think eliminating paper spreadsheets and rosters!) so that you can focus on the important stuff like running an engaging and meaningful community group.

Check out the following resources, depending on your new leadership role, to get you on your way:

If you're the PRIMARY GROUP ADMINISTRATOR of your group or subgroup (presidents, troop leaders, list moderator, etc.), check out our Leader Guides and resources:
  • Using our Transition Tool? Need template messages to help tell your members about the switch to BigTent? Consult our Transition Tool Guide.

If you're in charge of MEMBERSHIP (membership coordinator, VP membership, new member chair, VP recruitment, etc.), check out these helpful documents:
  • Our Enrollment help category has FAQs and tutorials to help you learn about membership types and forms, different ways to invite members,  and how to approve and track pending memberships.
  • Our Membership Management help category has information about using our membership reports to view and track member info such as volunteer hours, track membership terms, and make notes about members.

If you're in charge of ACCOUNTING (treasurer, etc.), learn about BigTent's membership dues and event fees processing below:

If you're in charge of planning EVENTS (activities coordinator, social chair, etc.), look here for info about adding and promoting events and collecting RSVPs:

If you're in charge of the NEWSLETTER (communications coordinator, etc.), learn about different ways to share your newsletter or other communications here:
